Our Commitment

At CalmPup we believe everyone should be able to use our service, and we work to make our website and app accessible to people with disabilities, in the spirit of the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758-1998 and the regulations made under it.

We are a small business (an exempt dealer) run by one person. We aim to meet Israeli Standard IS 5568 Part 2 at level AA, and we handle every accessibility enquiry personally.

What Has Been Made Accessible on the Website

• The site is built with semantic, standards-compliant HTML and supports screen readers.
• The entire site can be navigated using a keyboard alone.
• Text has been checked for sufficient contrast against its background.
• Text can be enlarged in the browser without the layout breaking.
• The site is adapted for phone, tablet and desktop.
• Images and icons have text alternatives, or are marked as decorative only.
• The site contains no flashing content and no auto-playing media. Animation, where present, is limited to a single gentle entry effect, and the site respects the system preference for reduced motion (prefers-reduced-motion).
• Page language and text direction (Hebrew, right-to-left) are declared in the markup.

Accessibility in the App

The CalmPup app is built with Flutter. The adaptations currently in place are:

• Text enlargement: the app respects the operating system's text-size and display-size settings, and content reflows accordingly.
• Video playback speed control (0.5x to 2x) - helps anyone who finds a normal speaking pace hard to follow, and anyone who prefers a faster one.
• Hebrew subtitles burned into the training videos.
• Questions can be entered by typing or by speech - for anyone who finds typing difficult.
• Text in the app is read aloud by the TalkBack and VoiceOver screen readers.

Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, some parts of the site or app may not yet be fully accessible. We are aware of this and are working on continuous improvement. In particular:

• Icon-only buttons in the app: a significant number of buttons marked with an icon only (no text) do not yet carry a spoken label, so a screen reader announces them as "button" without describing what they do. This is the most significant gap we are aware of and we are working to fix it.
• Training videos include subtitles but do not currently include audio description of on-screen action.
• Some content generated automatically by artificial intelligence may be phrased inconsistently.
• The website and app have not yet been audited by a certified accessibility assessor.

If you encounter any accessibility problem, please tell us. That is the fastest way for us to learn what needs fixing, and we take it seriously.

Please tell us as much as you can: which page or screen caused the difficulty, what you were trying to do, and which device and assistive technology you were using. That helps us find and fix it faster.

Accessibility of In-Person Services

Our consultations are delivered by online video meeting and do not require travelling to a physical location. If you need any adaptation in order to take part in a meeting, please tell us in advance and we will arrange it.

In-person private training is delivered by independent trainers at the client's home. Accessibility adaptations for that service are arranged directly with the trainer.

This statement is reviewed and updated from time to time, and in particular after material changes to the website or the app.
